REVIEWS

She Brought Me Gasoline is a blues/americana/country band from Croatia. Due to their residence, itโ€™s not a promising combination, itโ€™s something like being a punk band in Ethiopia, but thereโ€™s a wording that music has no boundaries.

She Brought Me Gasoline has released three studio albums and here is a selection of reviews on their music:

โ€œA fascinating combination of the blues, swamp, and possibly Eastern European folk music.โ€Americana UK

โ€œTell me how it’s possible that what I consider to be the best swamp-rock album of the year, and one of the greats of Americana, is signed by four guys from Croatia.โ€Ruta 66

โ€œI have no doubt that “Songs from the Cliff”, like its two predecessors, will once again receive positive reviews outside of Croatia, and I already know that it will be on my list of the best domestic releases of the year.โ€Ravno do dna

โ€œSongs From The Cliff” is a follow-up to the previous two albums, which only confirmed that they belong to the very top of that musical genre.โ€Nacional

โ€œ10/10โ€Terapija.net

โ€œIt’s definitely worth a look and seeing for yourself โ€“ how everything fits together so beautifully in the unique, colorful portraits of each of these ten paintings, which are exhibited in the Songs from the Cliff gallery by excellent artists-She Brought Me Gasoline.โ€Poprock.hr

โ€œMusic can also provide comfort during difficult times and, in light of global crises, certainly create a connection across national borders. Thus, roots music isn’t exclusive to America, as She Brought Me Gasoline demonstrates with “Songs From The Cliff.”โ€Sounds of South

โ€œThe national champions of American roots musicโ€Ravno do dna

โ€œShe Brought Me Gasoline is able to fashion the sound to their own liking, without at any moment veering into any direction that would indicate that they are doing their picking somewhere on Mount Medvednica near Zagreb and not somewhere in the Appalachians.โ€ โ€“ Living life fearless

โ€œAn Excellent Croatian swamp blues albumโ€ โ€“ Nacional

โ€œSHE BROUGHT ME GASOLINE – and it burns damn well!โ€ โ€“ Musikreviews

โ€œThis is currently one of the best and most original americana bands in Europeโ€ โ€“ Osluskivanja

“On Values and Trash simply deserves additional attention on so many levels that it is almost a textbook example of how to explore musical fascinations.โ€œ โ€“ Objektiv

โ€œI can only confirm that She Brought Me Gasoline has satisfied my curiosity.โ€œ โ€“ Barn Owl Blues

โ€œThis project does not lag behind the world’s average of modern americana, so I have the impression that many domestic “cowboys” were simply born in the wrong place and at the wrong time.โ€œ โ€“ I might be wrong

โ€œThe roots they dig up are very deep, in the very sources of American music, in that mythical place that I constantly mention – the place where blues, folk and country meet.โ€œ โ€“ Stereoart

โ€œFrom Croatia with passion: this could be the title of the debut album of She Brought Me Gasolineโ€œ โ€“ Mescalina

โ€œThere Were Times is a fascinating album.โ€œ โ€“ At the barrier

โ€œAn excellent album.โ€œ โ€“ Maxazine
